(song) I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say
I heard the voice of Jesus say,
"Come unto me and rest.
Lay down O weary one, lay down,
your head upon my breast."
I came to Jesus, as I was.
So weary, worn, and sad.
I found in Him my resting place,
and He has made me glad.
I heard the voice of Jesus say,
"Behold, I freely give
the living water, thirsty one,
stoop down and drink and live!"
I came to Jesus, and I drank
from that life-giving stream.
My thirst was quenched, my soul revived,
and now I live in Him.
I heard the voice of Jesus say,
"I am this dark world's light.
Look unto me, thy morn shall rise,
and all thy days be bright."
I looked to Jesus, and I found
in Him my Star, my Sun.
And in that light of life I'll walk,
'til pilgrim days are done.

Worth Remembering
My hope lives not because I am not a sinner
but because I am a sinner for whom Christ has died.
My trust is not that I am holy,
but that being unholy, He is my righteousness.
My faith rests not upon what I am or shall be or feel or know,
but in what Christ is, in what He has done, and in what He is now doing for me.
Hallelujah!
(Charles Spurgeon)

Our theology comes from what we know of God.
Our lives are lived according to our theology.
What are our lives proclaiming about God?

Christian contentment is the direct fruit
of having no higher ambition than to belong to the Lord
and to be totally at His disposal
in the place He appoints, at the time He chooses,
with the provision He is pleased to make.

He is no fool
who gives what he cannot keep
to gain what he cannot lose.
~
Wherever you are
be all there.
Live to the hilt
every situation
you believe to be the will of God.
